this morning, in the shower, I went to grab my razor and my immediate thought was “oh! no, i’m good, my legs are smooth – i did this yesterday!”
annnd (obviously) the very next millisecond I was like – “oh. right.”
you must do it every day.
some things are just like that!
listening, caring, asking.
working out, eating well, practicing healthy habits.
motivating yourself, making big moves, failing and pulling yourself back up.
saying i love you, supporting someone, checking in.
reading books that push you, listening to audio that inspires you, working through things that you would rather not…
for the results you want – and I know you want results – you simply cannot say things like “ah, yeah, well I did plenty of that yesterday” or “I deserve a break” – of course, take time for yourself, do other things that matter, but the stuff that brings you closer to your goals and the person you want to become requires every day, seriously-studied, well-practiced, visitation. period.
One of my favorite guys Zig said it best: “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” 🙂
