anyone who knows me knows that I’m unreasonably obsessed with my Vitamix.
if you don’t know what a Vitamix is, you should – it’s a mega-powered blender that can turn an apple into apple juice. No waste, nothing lost, just pure goodness. A big fan of all things blended, pureed, and juiced, I lost my mind when I saw the guy demoing one at Costco about 5 years ago. I put that sucker on a credit card and never looked back.
One of the most exciting things to me was the fact that, with no waste like typical juicers, the clean up was quick and easy – no filter, no blender blades in deep, hard-to-clean grooves – just rinse and let dry. This makes juicing/smoothie-ing easy and reasonable to do as often as you want.
However, wait a day, an hour, even 20 minutes, and the job becomes much more annoying: hot water to loosen the smoothie/juice residue, a dish brush, sometimes even liquid detergent to disinfect – not a huge deal, but more trouble than simply rinsing it right away.
SO! The Vitamix Principle:
Don’t wait, procrastinate, or distract yourself from necessary, easy tasks. They just get harder (and more annoying).
