when you take take a risk, you move from the comfortable to the uncomfortable. and it sucks.
and then it sucks some more.
and some more.
and then a lot more.
and just when you think you are going to die because you asked a hard question, made a big move, embarked on a crow-eating journey, quit a job, invested your savings, gave an ultimatum, spilled your messy feelings, said No, said Yes…you will suddenly feel the shift from the this-sucks phase to the oh-my-god-how-did-i-live-my-life-before-this-risk phase.
and it’s SO AWESOME. (!)
whether the outcome is perfect, terrible, or not what you expected, it’s all good because you did something to challenge yourself, and received new information for your journey ahead. You were bold and moved out of your comfy-cozy zone into the dark, uncomfortable unknown zone and you survived!
when you take a risk, you put yourself out there. When you put yourself out there, and survive, no matter what happens, there is no way to lose.
I took a big step two days ago – yesterday double-sucked, but today I am more unreasonably happy than I have been in a year. I love you all and want you to be unreasonably happy! SO. Be bold, take risks, and embrace the discomfort. Remember that you are you, and no situation, reaction, or outcome can change that. 🙂
(that’s Polar Bear below. he wants you to be happy, too! more on him in the next week or so 🙂 )
