was interviewed by Terry Gross for Fresh Air on NPR before he died. He cried through the whole interview, talking about those he missed, how beautiful he found life, and that he was in love with the world.
I have listened to it many times, and it is an understatement to say that it touched me on a very deep level. I, too, am in love with the world, but I sometimes don’t know how to express it or share it with those that I love.
It’s my biggest goal for 2013 to be open and give back what life gives me in every moment. I will do this by continuing to become the best person I can, and to be open, honest, caring, loving, forgiving, and vulnerable.
At the end of the interview, Maurice says the thing that I want for myself, and all of you:
“Live your life, live your life, live your life.”
