you say next!
I stole this concept from a fantastic audiobook I’m listening to right now – The Success Principles by Jack Canfield – and I just love it:
You are going to hear No many more times than you are going to hear Yes, so instead of letting a No bring you down, discourage you, and make you rethink what could be an amazing plan/idea/goal/thought that you are excited about, just move on to the next potential Yes.
As an actress, I’m told No every day. Even if I’m not on an audition, just the fact that the phone isn’t ringing is a constant, steady stream of Nos echoing in my head. But! I have an active mantra of “I won’t be right for everything, but I’ll be perfectly right for something.” 🙂
This doesn’t mean to stop pushing, improving, challenging, and re-routing yourself, but as long as you do it with your eye on the ultimate prize, the goal you are shooting for, then you WILL get what you want. It is my personal promise to you. 😉
Also from Jack Canfield: SW/SW/SW/SW, or:
Some Will, Some Won’t, So What!, Someone’s Waiting.
I’m going to go out a limb and say that this applies to most everything in your life. 🙂
I love you. All four of you.
